Warm welcome when I arrived, little touches such as a bowl of sweets at the door and a collection of books available to guests. Comfortable room and a substantial breakfast. Located within walking distance to train station and coach station. I would be happy to stay at Haven House again.

very nice hosts and location was ok
small room and very very small shower cubicle wash basin was only a cloakroom hand basin the room was very tired and a bit scruffy wallpaper peeling off the wall in a couple of places the pelmet over the window was unbelieveable a piece of very roughly cut hardboard with a piece of material stuck on it the window blind was white which let all the light in so about 5.30am the light pours in and woke us up and the view was a brick wall a very disappointing stay would not stay there again not in that room

Superb breakfast! Great value for the money spent.
The parking situation was quite frustrating, as it was limited and required careful maneuvering. I felt uneasy about having to leave my car in such a tight spot. While the room itself was clean, the bed was uncomfortable, which detracted from a restful night's sleep .

It was a fantastic time staying at this lovely and excellent hotel. The rooms were relaxing and fairly quiet with smoke detectors for our safety.
The staff were chatty, didn't expect that coming.

Couple's retreat, a gem worth exploring
Breakfast was where it really stood out. Alistair was cooking some very nice dishes, I particularly loved the vegetarian options, it's hard to find that kind of quality. From what I gathered, Mel was just as friendly, going the extra mile to, treating us like old friends.
Not the cheapest place I've stayed but still acceptable.

Charming stay with cozy vibes!
The room was super clean, and I adored the little touch of fresh flowers. Breakfast was the highlight-Alistair's scrambled eggs were seriously to die for! Only hiccup was parking. It was a tight squeeze, so keep that in mind if you're driving.

The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of freshly made options, made mornings a delight. The location is strategic, just a short walk from the beach and local restaurants, great to explore the area easily without relying on our car.
The parking situation was a bit tight. Walking or using public transport might be a better option. Some rooms had issues with noticeable dust, and there were comments about old furniture that could use an update, which detracted from room comfort. I noticed that the certification for food display was outdated, raising a few eyebrows about current standards.

The haven house was a good surprise. Rooms were immaculate and equipped with everything you might need. Breakfast was really good, offering a fantastic variety that hit the spot! The location was great too, being equally accessible to train and bus stations.
Parking spaces were a bit tight, though. 😅
